RSP appoints Hikmat Jung Karki to international relations department

KATHMANDU, JUNE 8 The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has appointed Hikmat Jung Karki as a member of its Central International Relations Department. In a statement, the party said Karki was nominated with the expectation that he would effectively carry out his responsibilities in line with the party's constitution, policies and departmental regulations. Karki holds a postgraduate degree in International Relations from the University of East London and a bachelor's degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from Tribhuvan University. He has experience in international relations and diplomacy and has previously served as co-chair of an organisation affiliated with young democrats worldwide. According to the party, Karki has represented Nepal at various international forums, including the United Nations World Urban Forum in Poland and policy dialogue platforms in the United States, New Zealand, Finland, Germany, Morocco and the United Kingdom. An expert in urban planning, Karki previously served as a board member of the Urban Development Fund under the Ministry of Urban Development. Following his appointment, Karki said he would work to strengthen and expand the party's international engagement while remaining committed to its principles and policies.
