Six injured as car plunges off road in Dolakha

DOLAKHA, JUNE 23 Six people were injured after a car returning from the Kalinchok Temple crashed and plunged about 13 metres off the road in Bhimeshwor Municipality-6, Bhutpokhari, on Tuesday afternoon. According to Nepal Police, the accident occurred at around 2:30 pm along the Charikot-Kalinchok road section after the vehicle's brakes reportedly failed. The injured have been identified as Sant Nasur, 65, Ramri Nasur, 55, Anita Nasur, 22, Sujan Nasur, 12, Sujit Nasur, 8, all from Shankharapur Municipality-2 in Kathmandu, and Sunita Tamang, 22. All the injured are undergoing treatment at Chho Rolpa Hospital in Charikot. Police have taken the driver, 21-year-old Niraj Tamang of Shankharapur Municipality-3, into custody and launched further investigation into the incident.
