KATHMANDU, JUNE 24 Nepal Police personnel will start receiving their salaries every fortnight instead of once a month, beginning fiscal year 2083/84, under a new government directive. A circular from Nepal Police Headquarters' Administration Department has asked budget-operating offices across the country to roll out the semi-monthly payment system, following decisions taken by the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Financial Comptroller General. The change will apply to civil servants more broadly, with police personnel among the first groups affected, as salaries and allowances shift from a monthly to a 15-day cycle.
