KATHMANDU, JUNE 24 The meeting of the House of Representatives, originally scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed by a day and will now be held on Friday. In a notice issued on Wednesday, Federal Parliament Secretary General Padam Prasad Pandey said Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal had rescheduled the meeting for 1:00 pm on Friday in accordance with Rule 6(3) of the House of Representatives Regulations, 2083. Although no official reason was provided, the postponement is being linked to the extension of the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party currently underway in Bharatpur, Chitwan. The meeting of the National Assembly, however, will be held as scheduled on Thursday.
