Paramount Motors to unveil four new Wuling EV models at NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026

KATHMANDU, JUNE 28 Paramount Motors, the authorised distributor of Wuling Motors in Nepal, has announced plans to expand its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio with the launch of four new models at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, as it seeks to strengthen its foothold in Nepal's growing EV market. The company said the new lineup, backed by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), will cater to a broad range of consumers, from urban commuters to large families, with vehicles offering different seating capacities, body styles and price segments. Among the models set to debut is the Wuling Eksion EV, a seven-seater electric SUV equipped with a 69.2 kWh 'Magic Battery Pro' offering a driving range of up to 530 kilometres. The SUV features flexible five- or seven-seat configurations, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, and luggage space expandable to 2,916 litres. The company will also introduce the Wuling Mini EV four-door compact hatchback, built on Wuling's Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform. The vehicle is expected to offer a driving range of up to 301 kilometres and will target urban commuters with what the company says will be competitive pricing and enhanced features. Also joining the lineup is the Wuling Darion MPV EV, a premium seven-seat electric multi-purpose vehicle featuring sliding doors, a luxury interior and a range of up to 540 kilometres. Meanwhile, the updated Wuling Binguo EV will return to the Nepali market with two battery options-31.9 kWh offering a range of 333 kilometres and 37.9 kWh delivering up to 410 kilometres. The hatchback also comes with dual 10.25-inch displays, a 790-litre cargo capacity and safety features including ABS, EBD and up to six airbags. Paramount Motors said the expanded lineup reflects its strategy to offer practical and affordable electric mobility solutions tailored to Nepali consumers while accelerating the country's transition towards sustainable transportation. The vehicles will be showcased at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, scheduled to be held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from August 11 to 16.
