KATHMANDU, JUNE 29 Police have seized 775 kilograms of marijuana concealed inside a mini truck on the Koshi Highway in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6, Kolbote, Dhankuta, and arrested the driver. According to Nepal Police, the contraband was recovered during a routine inspection of a mini truck (registration number Ko 1 Kha 4635) heading from Dhankuta to Dharan. A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Bhedetar, found the marijuana hidden in black plastic sheets beneath sacks of potatoes in the truck's cargo compartment. The arrested driver has been identified as 33-year-old Parikshan Kunwar, a permanent resident of Pakhribas Municipality-1, Dhankuta, who is currently residing in Aampgachhi, Itahari Sub-metropolitan City-1, Sunsari. Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
