Samsung launches Galaxy A27 5G in Nepal with AI features, six years of software support
New mid-range smartphone starts at Rs 55,999 and comes with extended EMI and trade-in offers.

KATHMANDU, JULY 14 Samsung Nepal has launched the Galaxy A27 5G smartphone in the domestic market, introducing artificial intelligence (AI) features, extended software support and enhanced security to its Galaxy A series. The company said the Galaxy A27 5G is aimed at consumers seeking AI-powered features, long-term software support and premium specifications in the mid-range segment. The device features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It runs on Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 8.5 interface and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera, along with a 12MP front-facing camera. Samsung said the handset supports AI-powered features, including voice transcription, and is compatible with AI assistants such as Google Gemini and Perplexity. It also includes Samsung Knox Vault security and carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. According to the company, the Galaxy A27 5G will receive up to six years of software and security updates. The phone is available in two variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 55,999, and 8GB RAM with 512GB storage priced at Rs 69,999. It is available in Awesome Black, Light Green and Light Pink colour options. Samsung Nepal has also introduced a 24-month EMI scheme, trade-in offers and an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs 8,000 on selected devices. Customers purchasing the handset will also receive 120GB of Ncell mobile data, according to the company.
