KATHMANDU, JULY 17 Bajaj Auto is expected to introduce two new electric scooter models in the Nepali market, with the launch likely to coincide with the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in August. According to early market information, the upcoming models-Chetak C2501 and Chetak C3503-will target different customer segments, expanding Bajaj's electric two-wheeler lineup in Nepal. The Chetak C2501 is expected to be the more affordable variant, featuring a 2.5 kWh battery, an IDC-certified range of 113 kilometres, a top speed of 60 km/h and a charging time of around four hours. The higher-end Chetak C3503 is anticipated to come with a larger 3.5 kWh battery, offering an IDC range of up to 153 kilometres. It is also expected to feature a digital instrument display and several smart connectivity features. Although Bajaj's authorised distributor in Nepal has not officially confirmed the launch, industry sources expect the company to unveil the new models at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, where pricing, specifications and availability for the Nepali market are likely to be announced. The expected launch comes as demand for electric two-wheelers continues to grow in Nepal, driven by rising fuel costs, expanding charging infrastructure and increasing consumer interest in environmentally friendly mobility solutions.
