Bajaj rolls out lower-EMI financing scheme, extends loan tenure to five years

By THT Online

KATHMANDU, JULY 20 HH Bajaj, the authorised distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, has launched a new financing scheme in partnership with Hulas Finserv Hire Purchase Limited (HFL), offering lower monthly instalments and extended repayment periods to make motorcycle ownership more affordable. Under the revised facility, customers can finance Bajaj motorcycles for up to five years (60 months), compared to the previous three-year tenure. The scheme also lowers the interest rate to 8.99 percent from 9.99 percent, reducing the monthly repayment burden. According to the company, the extended tenure and lower interest rates are aimed at improving affordability for first-time buyers, young professionals, salaried individuals and families seeking manageable monthly payments. The financing option is available across Bajaj's motorcycle range, from the Platina 100 ES to the Dominar 400. Under the new plan, the monthly instalment for the Platina 100 ES has dropped to around Rs 2,124 from Rs 3,255, while the Dominar 400's monthly payment has been reduced to about Rs 5,370 from Rs 8,227, the company said. Similar reductions in monthly instalments have been introduced for other models, including the Pulsar 125, Pulsar N125, Pulsar 150, Pulsar N150, Pulsar N160, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS200, Pulsar N250 and NS400Z. HH Bajaj said the financing programme is a long-term initiative rather than a limited-time promotional offer. The company stated that the move was designed to address customers' concerns over monthly repayment obligations, which often pose a greater challenge than the initial purchase price. The financing facility is available through Nepal Rastra Bank-regulated Hulas Finserv Hire Purchase Limited and can be accessed through Bajaj showrooms nationwide.
