DANG, JULY 22 Two men died of suspected suffocation inside a water tank at a house under construction in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Rajoura, on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Kamal Giri and Ghanshyam Giri, both originally from Malta in Salyan and currently residing in Doghare, Tulsipur-9. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hom Bahadur Parajuli of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, Kamal was a contractor while Ghanshyam worked as a mason. The two had jointly undertaken construction work at the site. Police said the men had reportedly entered the underground water tank to remove shuttering and are believed to have suffocated inside. Local residents alerted police on Wednesday morning after learning that the two were trapped in the tank. Authorities said efforts were underway to recover the bodies by breaking open the tank. The house under construction belongs to local businessman Maniram Chand. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
