Nabil Bank wins three Euromoney Awards, named Nepal's Best Bank

KATHMANDU, JULY 26 Nabil Bank has been named Nepal's Best Bank at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, while also securing the titles of Nepal's Best Bank for ESG and Nepal's Best Bank for SMEs. The awards recognise the bank's financial performance, digital transformation, responsible banking practices, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), according to a press release issued by the bank. Nabil Bank said the recognition reflects its overall performance, leadership in environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, and efforts to promote entrepreneurship through tailored financial products and services. Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali said the awards underscore the bank's commitment to delivering quality banking services, advancing sustainable growth and strengthening Nepal's entrepreneurial ecosystem. He credited customers, employees, shareholders and partners for the achievement. The Euromoney Awards for Excellence are regarded as among the banking industry's most prestigious honours, recognising institutions for outstanding performance, innovation, leadership and market impact. According to the bank, the Best Bank award acknowledges its financial strength, customer-focused innovation, digital banking initiatives and market leadership. The Best Bank for ESG award recognises its efforts to integrate sustainability into banking operations through responsible lending, green financing and social impact initiatives, while the Best Bank for SMEs award highlights its continued support for Nepal's SME sector through specialised financial solutions and advisory services.
