They say they relocated under the Pashupati master plan after accepting government compensation and are legal, tax-paying citizens-not squatters. According to the protesters, their relocated settlement was demolished on Baishakh 18–19, leaving many without permanent housing. They claim commitments to provide developed land, instalment-based land ownership and commercial space remain unfulfilled despite multiple rounds of talks with government agencies.
