KATHMANDU, JULY 26 Police have recovered 140 kilograms of marijuana hidden inside an orchard in Parsa district during a targeted search operation based on a tip-off, officials said. According to District Police Office, Parsa, a joint team from the Parsa Police Office and the Armed Police Force's BOP Mirjapur conducted a search at an orchard in Mirjapur, of Chhipaharmai Rural Municipality-2, at around 11:30 pm on July 25. During the search, police found 13 packages containing 140 kg of marijuana concealed inside a pile of grass in the orchard. The contraband was seized and further investigation has been launched. Police have not disclosed whether any suspects have been arrested in connection with the seizure. The District Police Office, Parsa, said the investigation is ongoing to identify those involved in the illegal drug operation.
