BIRGUNJ, JULY 31 The Parsa District Administration Office has imposed a prohibitory order in parts of Birgunj Metropolitan City, banning gatherings of five or more people from 5:00 pm on Friday until 6:00 am on Saturday. Chief District Officer Ganesh Dahal issued the order under Section 6(3)(a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, following a decision of the District Security Committee, citing security concerns. The order prohibits public gatherings, assemblies, rallies and demonstrations involving more than five people within the designated area. Authorities warned that anyone violating the order would face legal action. The restricted zone covers the area bounded by Pratima Chowk and the Buspark Bypass Road in the east, Tilave Bridge in the west, Gandak Chowk in the north, and Shankaracharya Gate in the south. The administration has urged the public to comply with the order and cooperate in maintaining peace and public security.
