CHITWAN, AUGUST 3 Two-way traffic resumed along the Narayanghat–Muglin road section on Monday morning after authorities cleared landslides and mudslides that had disrupted traffic at several locations. According to Arjun Ghimire, an engineer at the Division Road Office, Chitwan, landslides struck the highway at Tuin Khola, Namsi Khola, Simaltal, and the 15-km and 17-km sections, reducing traffic to one lane. The debris was cleared and the highway was fully reopened after 10:00 am. The construction company working at the Tuin Khola section carried out clearance operations there, while authorities restored traffic at the remaining affected sites. Officials have urged motorists to exercise caution, warning that continued rainfall could trigger fresh landslides along the highway.
