DHANGADHI, AUGUST 5 Seti Provincial Hospital has barred its doctors from working at private clinics and other health facilities during official working hours after receiving complaints that some were leaving their assigned duties, warning that violators will face disciplinary action. In a notice issued on Tuesday, the hospital administration directed all doctors to remain at their designated duty stations throughout office hours and fulfil their responsibilities to ensure timely, quality and patient-friendly healthcare services. The decision follows complaints that some doctors were attending private clinics and other health institutions during hours when they were required to be on duty at the provincial hospital. The notice, signed by Medical Superintendent Dr Hemraj Pandey, states that any doctor found engaging in private practice or working at another health facility during official duty hours will face action in accordance with prevailing laws and the terms and conditions of service. The hospital said the directive is aimed at improving service delivery and ensuring that patients visiting the province's largest public referral hospital receive uninterrupted care during official working hours.
