The Meteorological Forecasting Division said moderate rainfall is likely at many places in the hilly regions, while several areas of the Tarai are also expected to receive rain. Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the hilly region of Karnali, and the hilly and Tarai regions of Lumbini Province. Dhangadhi is forecast to reach 35–37°C, while Dipayal, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Simara and Janakpur could record maximum temperatures of 34–36°C. Kathmandu is expected to remain relatively cooler, with temperatures ranging from 28–30°C and a 70% chance of rain.
