BYD unveils new-generation ATTO series in Nepal

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 12 BYD has unveiled its new-generation ATTO series in Nepal, introducing upgrades to the ATTO 1, a new entry-level ATTO 2 variant and a comprehensively refreshed 2026 ATTO 3 at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. Cimex Inc, the authorised distributor of BYD in Nepal, unveiled the models at the ongoing expo, with the upgrades focusing on design, technology, comfort and convenience. The ATTO 1 Dynamic and Premium variants now come with 360-degree cameras, while the Premium variant additionally gets auto-folding ORVMs. The two variants are priced at Rs 3.075 million and Rs 3.48 million, respectively. BYD has added the ATTO 2 Essential to its lineup, featuring a 45.12 kWh battery and a claimed WLTP range of 312 km. It is priced at Rs 4.595 million, while the existing ATTO 2 Premium, with a 51.13 kWh battery and 345 km WLTP range, is priced at Rs 4.899 million. The 2026 ATTO 3 gets a redesigned exterior featuring BYD's Dynamic Dragon Face design, along with a rear spoiler, high-mounted brake light and Chinese Knot tail light. Interior upgrades include increased soft-touch surfaces, a column-mounted gear selector, a 50W wireless smartphone charger with active cooling and an 8.8-inch full-LCD instrument cluster. Both the Advance and Superior variants also feature ventilated front seats and an eight-speaker Dirac HD sound system. The ATTO 3 Advanced is priced at Rs 6.29 million. As part of its expo promotion, BYD is offering one year of app connectivity with infotainment, cash benefits, a 10-year extended warranty, one year of free insurance, one year of free road tax and free accessories to customers purchasing vehicles during the expo. The NAIMA Mobility Expo is being held from August 11 to 16 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. BYD is showcasing the new ATTO lineup at Hall A, Stall A5.
