KATHMANDU, AUGUST 25 Nepal is set for another wet day, with heavy rain forecast in parts of three provinces and squally winds possible in Madhesh as the monsoon continues to influence the country. The Meteorological Forecasting Division said heavy rain was likely at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also expected in parts of the Himalayan, hilly and Tarai regions. Temperatures remain high in the Tarai Despite the widespread rain, several Terai cities could remain hot. Bhairahawa and Simara are forecast to record maximum temperatures of 35–37°C, while Dipayal could reach 34–36°C. Kathmandu is expected to see moderate rain with thunderstorms, with a 60% chance of rain both during the day and at night. Temperatures in the capital are forecast at 29–31°C during the day and 20–22°C at night.
