KATHMANDU, AUGUST 27 Eight tonnes of relief supplies have been dispatched overnight to communities affected by the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa, with the Nepal Army mobilising eight trucks for the delivery. The supplies include 500 mosquito nets, 1,000 children's dignity kits, 220 sleeping bags, 500 blankets, 10 plastic sheets, 100 tarpaulins, 500 solar lights and 500 solar-light panels, along with a 30-kVA generator. The materials were sent to the flood-hit areas to provide immediate relief and humanitarian assistance as the disaster continues to disrupt daily life. The shipment was arranged and transported under the direct monitoring of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung, with the government saying it has been accelerating rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts in the affected areas. The overnight deployment of the Army trucks was aimed at ensuring essential supplies reach affected communities without delay.
