KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 4 The Royal Thai Government has provided THB 7 million, or around Rs 26 million, in cash and emergency relief supplies to support victims of the recent flash floods and mudslides in Nepal. Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul handed over the assistance to Nepal's Ambassador to Thailand Dhan Bahadur Oli at a ceremony held at the Prime Minister's Office in Bangkok on Friday. According to the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, the aid was provided based on Nepal's list of priority needs. The cash contribution will be deposited into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, while the relief supplies will be dispatched to Nepal at the earliest. Ambassador Oli expressed gratitude to the Thai government and people for their timely humanitarian support, saying the assistance reflected the longstanding friendship, solidarity and close relations between the two countries. Prime Minister Anutin also assured Nepal of Thailand's continued cooperation in the coming days, based on the country's needs.
