KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 14 Heavy rainfall is likely in parts of eight provinces on Monday, with thunderstorms and rain forecast across much of the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. Heavy rain is expected at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in the hilly and Terai areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Generally cloudy conditions will prevail throughout the country. Moderate rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the Himalayan areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is also likely at some places in the hilly areas nationwide. In the Terai, such rainfall is expected in parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, and at a few places in Madhesh and Koshi provinces.
