GHAIGHAT, SEPTEMBER 20 A 45-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband following a domestic dispute in Dandagaun of Chaudandigadhi Municipality-2, Udayapur, on Sunday. Police identified the victim as Bimala Rai and the accused as her husband, 58-year-old Ganduram Rai. According to the District Police Office, Udayapur, Ganduram allegedly attacked Bimala on the neck with a sickle after a domestic dispute while under the influence of alcohol. Police said the incident occurred at around 12:30am at the couple's residence. Bimala sustained critical injuries and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital at around 1:15am. Following the incident, Ganduram reportedly went to the temporary police post in Madibas, informed police about the incident and surrendered himself. Police have detained the suspect at the Area Police Office, Beltar, and further investigation into the case is underway.
