KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 21 The House of Representatives on Monday unanimously passed the National Service Corps Bill, 2083. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, on behalf of the Prime Minister and Defence Minister, presented the proposal seeking passage of the bill. Gautam said the legislation had been extensively discussed by the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee. She said the bill sets criteria for students seeking National Service Corps training and gives priority to students from remote and inaccessible areas. Lawmakers had earlier taken part in deliberations on the bill and expressed their views.
