According to the Division Road Office, Bhaktapur, vehicular movement resumed in the morning after road workers cleared landslide debris and constructed temporary diversions at multiple locations along the highway. Officials said a new diversion will be built at Chaukidanda once water levels in the local rivulet subside. Flooding in the Roshi rivulet had swept away temporary diversions at Chaukidanda, Katunje, Piple and Mamti, while landslides at Daunne-Kalopool and Charseyabesi also disrupted traffic along the route. The road office said traffic has resumed on a one-way basis at several vulnerable sections, with engineering teams continuing work to restore two-way traffic operations. The BP Highway is a key transport corridor linking Kathmandu with eastern and central Nepal. Its closure over the past four days had affected the movement of passengers, goods and long-distance transport services.
