KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 29 Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel has been named Nepal's Leading Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards 2026. The award was announced at the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony held on September 27 at CROSSROADS Maldives, bringing together travel and tourism organisations from across the region. 'Being named Nepal's Leading Hotel 2026 by the World Travel Awards is a proud moment for our entire team. Opened in 2019, the hotel combines modern design with Nepali art, music, cuisine and cultural influences. The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, recognises excellence in the global travel and tourism industry. The 2026 regional ceremony honoured destinations, hotels, resorts, airlines, airports, tour operators and other tourism organisations across Asia, Oceania and the Indian Ocean region.
