Based on the excise rate of Rs 88.20 per sticker, the Armed Police Force 11 Number Headquarters, Hajminiya, Rautahat, estimated the total value of the recovered stickers at Rs 10,584,000. The seized stickers have been handed over to the Inland Revenue Office, Simara, for further investigation and legal action. The Armed Police Force said legal proceedings were being initiated under the prevailing Economic Act. Security personnel have also intensified surveillance in the border area to curb the possible trade of counterfeit or illegal excise stickers and the smuggling of liquor-related products, according to an Armed Police Force source.
