KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 7 The auspicious hour for receiving Dashain Tika this year has been set for 10:26 am on October 21, the Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee said. The committee said devotees can receive Tika from their elders as prasad of Goddess Durga at the auspicious hour after immersing the idol of Goddess Durga at 8:49 am on the same day. Those receiving Tika should face west. According to the committee , although an auspicious hour has been fixed, people can receive Dashain Tika throughout the day on Bijaya Dashami. Dashain begins on October 11 with Ghatasthapana, for which the auspicious hour has been set at 11:47 am. The auspicious time for changing the flag has been fixed at 10:07 am. The Pachali Bhairav procession will be held on October 15, while Phulpati will be observed on October 17. The auspicious hour for the Taleju Bhawani procession has been set for 7:37 am that day, followed by the auspicious hour for Sthirasan at 10:39 am. Maha Astami will be observed on October 18, with Kalaratri also observed that night. Mahanavami will fall on October 20, followed by the main day of Bijaya Dashami on October 21.
