BARA, OCTOBER 11 Local residents and relatives of a man killed in a hit-and-run incident blocked a road in Amlekhgunj of Bara district on Sunday, demanding the arrest of the driver and seizure of the vehicle involved. The victim has been identified as Ram Bahadur Thing, around 65, of Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City-22, according to local resident Manoj Sah. According to the report, an unidentified vehicle struck Thing and fled the scene with the driver. Following the incident, relatives of the deceased and local residents staged a road blockade, calling on police to identify and apprehend the driver responsible. Protesters said the blockade would continue until the vehicle and driver involved in the incident were traced. The road obstruction has left passenger vehicles travelling toward western destinations stranded in the area. Police have not yet identified the vehicle involved, and further investigation is underway. Authorities are continuing efforts to identify the vehicle and driver as protesters maintain pressure for swift action in the case.
