Paraglider’s body Pokhara: The body of Christoph Andreas Sattle, a German paraglider who had gone missing in the Phewa Lake since last week, was found floating on the water on Thursday morning. Inspector Bishwaraj Adhikari at District Police Office Kaski said the body has been kept in the Western Regional Hospital Pokhara. Police said Sattle's relatives had been informed about it. Twenty-six-year-old Sattle had planned to swim out of the lake after jumping off the parachute 20 metres above the surface of water. Having lost his balance in the process, Sattle had failed to keep himself afloat. An expert at the adventure, he had come gliding in the air from Sarangkot without obtaining the permission of the local aviation authority for the feat. He had been staying in a hotel in the lake city with friends since January 3. Army Day messages KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday lauded the role played by the Nepali Army in protecting and promoting national sovereignty and liberty during different periods of history. In a message to the nation and Army personnel on the occasion of Army Day and Shivratri, Nepal added: "Following discipline and tradition and with its sacrifice, the NA is transforming itself according to the changing times." The Chief of Army Staff, in his message, said NA is performing its duties such as maintaining national security, internal security, protecting ecology and other responsibilities entrusted by the government. "Nepali Army has maintained a high professional capacity as well as its apolitical nature," he said. Abducted found dead DANG: Hom Bahadur Choudhari, a 10-year old boy of Dhikpur-7, Dubichour, who was kidnapped on January 26, was found dead in Dikpur-7, Pokhara, on Thursday. According to Thakur Prasad Gnawali, SP, District Police Office Dang, Diplav Sen Oli (21) of Dikpur-4 in Pokhara, has been arrested for his involvement in the crime. Diplav has said that he had killed the child to take revenge. According to inspector Gobinda Khadka, the body was found in a pit. Police said Diplav killed the child after his family had to spend a lot of money in treating his father who was injured after falling down in Choudhari's house.
