London: Britney Spears is making a film set in the world of motor racing in a bid to forge a new career in the movies. Spears, who made her big-screen debut in ‘Crossroads’ in 2002, has currently signed up to produce the $55 million drama called “Trading Paint”. It is also expected to have the 23-year-old pop diva in the starring role, reports Ireland Online.

The rough-and-tumble movie revolves around the rivalry between two racing drivers who lost touch after both survived a terrible crash. Years later, they are brought together for a final race by a young woman - a part likely to be played by Spears. The film will begin shooting next year. — HNS
