KATHMANDU: The investors have handed 15-point demand to the Nepal Stock Exchange asking for the security of their investments. Expressing their dissatisfaction over the current trend in the secondary market, various organisations related to share investors have protested today. They have demanded to end the policy of changing 19 per cent promoters' share into general share, apartfrom new criteria of taxes on capital gain. According to them, the overflow of the number of shares in the market has brought the Nepse down as the number of investors could not be increased at the same time. General Investors' Association, Nepal Investors' Forum and Nepal Securities Investors' Association submitted their 15-point demand and announced phase-wise protest programmes at a press conference organised at the Nepal Stock Exchange today. According to the protest programme, they have urged other investors to boycott the transactions on February 21-22. They have also urged the security agents to stop transaction on February 23.
