Hyundai with MMC KATHMANDU: Nepal's top tier club Manang Marshyangdi signed a 1.1 million sponsorship deal with the Hyundai Car on Friday. Manang will now be called “Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club” after the deal with the brand. Laxmi Inter Continental Pvt Ltd are the authorized dealer of the car. The club's newly elected President Tashi Ghale and Laxmi Hyundai Team's Chairman Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the first anniversary programme of the company. The company will provide Rs 1.1 million for this year. This is the second highest sponsorship deal for the Nepali football clubs. Three Star Club had signed a yearly sponsorship deal of 1.5 million with Nabil Bank three years back. Sports commitment KATHMANDU: Nepali sports persons on Friday expressed their commitments on making the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 a success. In a programme organised by Nepal Tourism Board in Tundikhel, the sports persons jointly showed their commitments of making Tourism Year 2011 a success by not doing any strikes or bandhas from their side. The sports person joined the programme after a rally organised by the National Sports Council (NSC) which started from the Dasharath Stadium. The rally led by Member Secretary Hari Babu Chaudhary was joined by NSC vice-persident Pitambar Timilsina, officials, players and sports journalists.
