Bhandari lauds NAWA KATHMANDU: Defence Minister Bidhya Bhandari on Friday lauded the contribution made by Nepali Army Wives Association (NAWA) in motivating Nepali Army personnel toward their duty. A press statement issued by NA Public Relation Directorate said they are persuading Nepali Army to work for the welfare and development of the country. Kamala Gurung, president, NAWA, also spoke on the occasion. Sanitation in Lalitpur KATHMADNU: Guthi officials of an NGO working in sanitation sector, today visited Siddhipur VDC of Lalitpur area, to take stock of the sanitation programme introduced in the area. A press statement issued by Guthi stated that they had distributed around 833 private taps. It added that around 95 per cent of the households in the VDC now have their own toilet.
