KATHMANDU: Placing the lowest unique bid of Rs 20.94, a resident of Teku Rajesh Poudel won the Victorinox Swiss Army Chrono Classic XLS MT 241300 worth Rs 89,100 and Vivante 241053 worth Rs 23,244 in THT Live weekly reverse auction Ooltobolee. Miss Mangol 2010 Barsha Rani Gurung handed over the prizes worth a total of Rs 1,12,344 to Poudel at an informal function organised at the APCA House on March 31. “I am very excited about winning these precious prizes in the bid,” said Poudel adding that the excitement will be doubled when his friends and relatives come to know about his win through THT. An IT professional, Poudel shared, “I am happy to get such an expensive watch to wear and at the same time I am looking forward to gift the lady’s watch to my wife.” According to him, the best part of playing Ooltobolee is that one knows that it is a fair game. Ooltobolee is a ‘reverse bidding’ weekly auction where one can place bids through SMSes during a stipulated bidding time. The subscribers of NTC, Mero Mobile or UTL who are 18 years and above can participate in it. The one sending the lowest unique bid becomes the winner. The bidding time for next week starts at 7:00 am on April 4.
