SIRAHA: A person was killed and another injured in a road mishap in Siraha district on Friday night. Saron Chaudhari, 20, a resident of Bastipur -5 died when a bus and a motorcycle collided in Lahan-1 along the East-West Highway, police said. Ramesh Chaudhari, 19, of Bastipur was critically injured in the incident, police said, adding that the bus and its driver were taken into custody for an investigation. Meanwhile, two youths sustained critical injuries in a khukuri attack at Bhojad of Bharatpur-11 in Chitwan district on Friday night. The duo were injured when they came under a sudden attack from an unknown group armed with khukuris, police said. Those injured are Kritan Raj Bhandari, 20, and Rajesh Kumal, 22, the Chitwan District Police Office said, adding that they are undergoing treatment in Bharatpur Hospital. The gang attacked the youths while they were returning home after a game of football at 8 pm. A manhunt for the assailants is underway, police said.
