LONDON: James Bond-style gadgets are now available online on eBay. The items include a camera that shoots darts, a lipstick tube containing a dagger and fake monkey dung that explodes. Ian Fleming, who wrote James Bond novels, had worked as an agent at Camp X near Ontario, on the shores of a Canadian lake, where these armories were developed. British started the camp on December 6, 1941 but closed by the end of the World War. However, Canadian intelligence used it till 1969. Robert Stuart, a Canadian who died seven years ago, had collected the gadgets and photos from the spot. Now, his daughter Deirdre has put up the gadgets for sale on eBay. And she defends her right to sell the memorabilia and claims the camp to be her private property. “If you didn’t put it in writing, you pretty much gave it to us. How stupid are people? We’ve had this museum 33 years. It’s ours,” the Telegraph quoted her as telling the Daily Mail. The items on the list include a radio which was used by British Special Operatives to keep in touch with London. It is expected to fetch £ 32,000.
