BIRTAMOD: Nepal Sadbhawana Party chairman and Minister for Commerce and Supply Rajendra Mahato today warned of waging a decisive struggle against the state if the new statute failed to incorporate Madhesh and Madhesi people. Inaugurating Mechi Mahakali Autonomous Madhesh Journey organised by his party at Muktichowk, Birtamod on Saturday, Mahato stated, "If statue failed to incorporate Madheshi people's demand, we will spearhead a final and decisive battle against the state." Nepal Sadbhawana Party kicked off 22-day awareness crusade demanding timely statute and guarantee of Madheshi rights. Mahato made it clear that his party organised awareness campaign to unveil true characters of the big parties. Accusing major political parties of being reluctant to finalise and enforce the new constitution, Mahato asserted that a brief constitution adopted in the name of constitution would be completely unacceptable for the Madhesh-based parties. Moreover, he claimed that campaign launched by his party would put pressure to the state for drafting statute within the stipulated time. Commenting on the mushrooming underground outfits and parties in Tarai in the name of liberation of Madhesh, Mahato blamed Madhesh-based regional parties of trying to disintegrate Madhesh by raising issue of rights and freedom of Madheshi people.
