SIRAHA: Chairman of Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum Upendra Yadav on Sunday threatened to topple the UML-led government if Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal did not resign at the earliest. Talking to media persons in Lahan, Yadav said, 'If the Prime Minister does not tender his resignation at the earliest, we will topple the government from the parliament.' “There is no alternative left but to change the government as it cannot promulgate the constitution in the stipulated time,” Yadav reasoned, adding, “The resignation of the PM will be the best alternative to pave the way for the formation of a national unity government and prevent any possible political disaster in the nation.” “The tasks of timely promulgation of statute, taking the peace process to a logical conclusion and state restructuring will be accomplished once the national unity government would be formed,” he said. Saying that the monarchy was already consigned to history, the former minister for foreign affairs said, 'There is no chance of the revival of the ousted monarchy except for our offspring reading about the kings and monarchy in the pages of history.'
