Paris, May 30:
Uruguay international Diego Forlan’s two goals for Villarreal against Levante secured his Spanish club a Champions League qualifying place and helped the him share the Golden Shoe award with Arsenal’s Thierry Henry. Both finished the season with 25 league goals. Henry becomes the first player to win the award two years in a row. It is only the second time it has been shared. In 1989-90 Bulgaria’s Hristo Stoichkov, then with Barcelona, and Mexico’s Hugo Sanchez, with Real Madrid, were the joint winners.
