KATHMANDU: Samsung is all set to unveil the latest Galaxy E series- Samsung Galaxy E7 in the Nepali market by the end of July. Likewise, Gionee Mobiles is also planning to introduce its latest smartphones- Gionee Elife E8 under high-range and Marathon M5 under upper mid-range category in the local market by mid-September. Gionee unveiled these smartphones in the international market on June 10, 2015, at an event held in Beijing. “One of the most exciting features of Galaxy E7 is its strong battery with the capacity of 2950 mAh,” said Dikesh Malhotra, President at Integrated Mobility Solutions. It has 5.5 super AMOLED display with captivating touch screen.This dual-SIM smartphone has android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat) and is powered by quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53. It is packed with 2GB RAM and has the internal memory of 16GB which can be expanded up to 64GB. The handset is equipped with 13MP primary camera and 5MP secondary camera. It will be available in four different colours- black, white, brown and blue. As for the price of the handset, he said, “We are yet to decide the price of the phone, however we make sure that we keep it as reasonable as possible.” According to him, by the end of July this year, Samsung will come  up with the latest versions of Galaxy J series as well. “We are looking forward to bring two new models- Elife E8 and Marathon M5. Both have exciting features that other smartphones lack,” said Samir Dhungana, Marketing Manager of Teletalk. Gionee Elife E8 comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo 3.1 with 6-inch QHD (1600x2560 pixel) Super AMOLED display. The phone features rear camera of 24MP with proprietary software that can produce images of 120 megapixels quality. According to him, this is the first smartphone with 24MP camera. The phone also has optical image stabilisation, lossless zoom up to 3x and 4K video recording. Likewise, the front facing camera is of 8MP. The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo 3.1. Other features include a 2GHz CPU packed with 3GB RAM and has an internal storage capacity of 64GB. In the same way, the smartphone boasts a fingerprint scanner and dual speakers. Powered by a 3520 mAh battery, the phone is considered to be capable of fast charging. It will be available in two colours- black and golden. “The strong asset of Gionee Marathon M5, successor to the Gionee Marathon M3, is its powerful batteries- two batteries of 3010 mAh, which last up to four days on a single charge,”  This dual-SIM smartphone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop with 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) AMOLED display. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB RAM. Similarly, it has 16GB internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB.  The phone features a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. The handset will be available in the colour white.He is hopeful that these models will be well received like its predecessors- Elife E7 and Marathon M3. According to him, the company is working out on the price of the handset and will be fixed once it is available in the international market.
