KABUL: An Afghan security official says that at least 10 civilians have been killed in a roadside bomb explosion in the country's east. Gen. Abdul Karim Fayeq, provincial police chief in Kapsia province, said on Sunday that at least seven other civilians were wounded after their van hit by a newly planted roadside bomb. The attack took place in Tagab district, where insurgents are active and regularly attack Afghan security forces, said Fayeq. No group claimed responsibility for the attack in Kapisa province. The Taliban frequently uses roadside bombs and suicide attacks to target Afghan army or police forces across the country.
