1 student killed as school wall collapses in Pokhara

POKHARA: A student died and 10 others including two teachers were injured after a wall of the Ex-Army Boarding School in Chhorepatan, Pokhara-17 collapsed due to heavy rainfall on Thursday. According to the District Police Office, Kaski, the deceased has been identified as Sajak Gayak (14) of Pokhara-19. He was a ninth grader at the school. The identities of the injured are yet to be ascertained. Police said that they are receiving treatment at the Gandaki Zonal Hospital. Police said that the wall caved-in when the students were taking their first terminal examinations. Meanwhile, various places in Pokhara have been inundated following incessant rainfall since yesterday. Police said that the rain water has gushed into the human settlements in Bajaypur, Nadipur and Thuthe forcing the people  to spend their time outside their houses. Police informed that a temporary lake has been formed in the Seti River in Ramghat.
