MYAGDI: Seven new suspension bridges were constructed in the fiscal year 2014-15, in Myagdi district, benefitting 8,000 plus locals of the concerned areas. The suspension bridges were constructed in Dowa, Phedikhola, Darkhola, Arman, Bandre Sim, Jemkhola and Uttisini, sub-engineer in the Myagdi District Development Committee Bal Krishna Poudel said. The cost of each suspension bridge is in the range of Rs 2.5 million to Rs 4 million, he added. Local Development Officer of Myagdi Chiranjibi Poudel said that the people have demanded 205 more suspension bridges in the district. Likewise, altogether 119 suspension bridges were repaired in the district in the last fiscal year.
