KMC forms Hanumandhoka Durbar Area Heritage Reconstruction Coordination Committee

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) formed a 12-member Hanumandhoka Durbar Area Heritage Reconstruction Coordination Committee for the reconstruction of the temples and monuments damaged by the earthquake. Department of Chief of the Hanumandhoka Durbar Area Conservation Programme Narendra Bilas Bajracharya  is the President of the Committee. Manoj Newah Khadgi is the Co-President and Nirmal Hamal is the Member-Secretary of the Committee. Digambar Shrestha, Ramesh Man Munikar, Raj Kalyan Tamrakar, Binod Tuladhar and Basanta Shrestha are the members of the Committee. It is stated that there would be a representative each from the Department of Archaeology and the Guthi Sansthan and two experts on archeology and culture from the KMC in the Committee. KMC Chief Executive Officer Rudra Singh Tamang said that the KMC has already earmarked Rs 500 million for the reconstruction and renovation of the heritages.
