FNJ demands press friendly statute

KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepali Journalist on Wednesday submitted a list of suggestions on the preliminary draft of the constitution to the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee. A delegation-led by FNJ President Mahendra Bista met Chairman of the CPDCC Baburam Bhattarai and submitted the list of the suggestions today. According to a statement issued by the FNJ, Bista urged Bhattarai to make the new constitution press- and freedom of expression-friendly. In response, Bhattarai said that the Committee has taken the suggestions in a positive way and expressed his commitment to fulfill their demands. Office bearers and central members of the FNJ were presented during the meeting.
