Narayangarh, June 8:

The residents of Madi, where the Maoists ambushed a passenger bus on Monday, have asked Maoist leader Prachanda whether his apology would help join the head and the body of a child who was killed in the incident.

Madi bus blast toll reached 39 yesterday with the finding of a headless body of a boy. No one has claimed the body yet.

Owning up responsibility for the blast, Prachanda had yesterday said it was a serious mistake on the part of the Maoists.

Despite Prachanda’s statement, the anger of the people has not been calmed down. The locals said it was sheer irresponsibility on the part of the Maoists and his leader, who claim that they have been fighting for the cause of people, to ambush a passenger bus and leave score of civilians dead and injured. “The incident has directly affected the minds of the children. Who is going to compensate for that?” Asked Krishna Chaudhary,

a teacher.
