Landslips block Pokhara-Baglung-Jomsom road

PARBAT: The Pokhara-Baglung-Jomsom road section has been obstructed due to a number of landslides following heavy rainfall on Wednesday night. The transport services have been obstructed as a landslide swept away a section of the road at Mauribhir and Beteni of Tilahar VDC in Parbat district. A problem has surfaced to open the obstructed road immediately as the landslide swept away around 200-metre road section at Beteni. A bulldozer from the Road Division Office, Baglung, has been mobilised to open the road. READ ALSO: 

Police said that transport services would resume from this evening. Similarly, the Beni-Maldhunga road section has been obstructed after a landslide blocked the road at Pang of Kushma Municipality. Traffic Police Chief in Parbat, Bikas Timilsina, said that preparations are underway to resume the traffic by opening a diversion. Long-route and short-route vehicles heading from Baglung, Myagdi, Mustang and Parbat districts are stranded at Dimuwa. Passengers have been hit hard as there was no possibility of immediate resumption of the road.
