RAJBIRAJ, August 10 Tarai Madhes National Campaign Coordinator Jay Prakash Prasad Gupta on Monday said that the revised draft statute presented by the four major political parties had miserably failed to address the agendas of Madhes. Addressing a mass meeting organised by the campaign in Rajbiraj, Gupta accused Madhesi Morcha leaders of failing to establish the agendas that they had themselves raised many years ago. We have certain demands. If they are not met by the government, we shall hit the streets —Jay Prakash Prasad Gupta Stating that the draft constitution had failed miserably to incorporate the issues of citizenship, constituency and Madhesi participation in the state organs, Gupta held the view that federating the country into six provinces was a burning example that the state would not listen to their demands. He stressed on the need to form a strong alliance for the liberation of Madhes. “We have certain demands. If they are not met by the government, we shall hit the street,” Gupta warned.
