Jajarkot, August 16 Agitators, who have been staging rallies demanding an intact mid-west with Surkhet as the provincial Capital, burned the effigies of top leaders of the four major parties in Khalanga,on Sunday . Their agitation entered the seventh day on Sunday. The protesters burned the effigies of Prime Minister and NC President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar for signing a deal to federate the country into six provinces. Jajarkot folks demanded an intact mid-west province with Surkhet as its provincial capital. Political parties, Civil Society, FNCCI, women and youth organisations extended their support to the agitation. Mohan Baidhya-led CPN-Maoist Jajarkot district Secretary Imaswor Devkota warned of giving continuity to the agitation unless their demands were met. Federation of Nepali Journalist Jajarkot Chair Janak KC said the state had been ignoring the district for too long.
